Perfectly delicate weight

The Karma Switch is made from layers of breathable organic cotton thats always gentle on your skin. Small quilted pockets are sewn by hand to secure the micro-glass beads.

These perfectly sewn pockets prevent beads from bunching up and falling to one side (a common annoyance with other weighted blankets). This provides a gentle, even pressure across the body and guarantees effective deep touch pressure activation every time.

It's just science...

Karmara blankets use deep touch pressure therapy (DTP) to regulate chemicals in the brain and rebalance the mood.

Pressure points all over the body are activated when pressure is applied to them (much like a hug or a deep tissue massage), causing a natural release of calming and sleepy hormones.

The added weight grounds you whilst you relax, easing your nervous system into rest and digest mode. This slows the heart rate and restores a natural balance in the mind.

Questions about Karma Switch

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

How heavy should my blanket be?

Most experts recommend choosing a weighted blanket that’s around 10% of your body weight, so it feels comforting without being overwhelming. A great weighted blanket should distribute this weight evenly across your body to create a gentle, soothing pressure.

What size weighted blanket should I get?

Karmara blankets are designed to fit your body, not your bed, which means they’re usually smaller than a standard duvet. That’s intentional, as weighted blankets work best when centred on your body, rather than hanging over the sides of your bed and pulling the weight away.

That said, there’s no strict rule. If you prefer a larger blanket, or want to share with a partner or friend, it’s absolutely fine to size up. Comfort is personal and the right size is simply the one that sounds best to you.

Who should NOT use a weighted blanket?

Young children under the age of 5, those who weigh less than 22kg or users who can’t lift the blanket without help should not use a weighted blanket.

Anyone with breathing, blood circulation, epilepsy or heart problems should also steer clear from weighted blankets.

If you have sleep apnea, breathing problems or any other chronic health condition you should consult your doctor before buying a weighted blanket.
